NEW CROSSWALK TO CONNECT TERMINAL 1 AS PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE CLOSES
On Wednesday, June 15, the pedestrian bridge that currently connects pedestrians from Terminal 1 to the T1 parking lot and the ground transportation island, will close permanently and be replaced by a new crosswalk in front of Terminal 1.
Please prepare for traffic congestion and delays when traveling to Terminal 1. SAN recommends that passengers arrive early for their flight and to use caution when traveling through the work area.
The New T1 project is replacing the current Terminal 1 with a modern and efficient facility, improving the access and travel experience at the San Diego International Airport. The first phase of the New T1 project is set to be completed in 2025 with the project’s full completion anticipated in late 2028.
